Loving my registry

Probably one of the most exciting things about getting married was registering for all those lovely items that I could never afford before.  500 thread count sheets?  Definitely!  Five piece Vera Wang china place settings?  Yes please!  Cashmere blanket?  Add it on there!  The great thing about a registry is that even though you may never get those luxury items, you can always dream.  Plus, your great-aunt Sue could always come through.
I will say that I was extremely blessed by wonderful friends and family who went above and beyond to make sure that Frazier and I had lots of fabulous items to jump start the beginning of our marriage.  However, here are the top five items that I was the most excited to receive.

Number five:  Colorful Zak!Designs bowls

I registered for these at the Full Moon here in Little Rock, and I also got some plates just like the bowls shown above.  They are so colorful and fun that I couldn't resist.  Completely dishwasher safe so I was easily sold.

Number four: McCarty's Pottery

I had heard of McCarty's Pottery before but didn't even think to register for it.  Luckily, I received a BEAUTIFUL turquoise bowl from a shower.  It's definitely a must-have for a Southern bride since it is made in Mississippi.

Number three: Dyson vacuum

Since I have a golden retriever that lives inside year round, I was keeping my fingers crossed for this item.  The Dyson is powerful, easy to use, and doesn't require any bags.  Plus, if you use a Bed, Bath, and Beyond 20% coupon, you can save quite a bit of cash!

Number two: Spode Woodland Collection

Can I just say how excited my husband was about these?!  Well, as excited as a groom can be about dishes.  It all started when my brother-in-law and sister got married, and once Frazier saw all the different animals, he was hooked.  We registered for these at Fifth Season, and the dishes display creatures such as bears, deer, and dogs.  Perfect for fall (or hunting season)!

Number one:  KitchenAid mixer

A staple for any bride even if you don't cook or bake.  I mean since it comes in pretty much any color and looks perfect on your kitchen counter, this mixer is worth it.  I have yet to use mine, but just knowing I'm prepared for some serious baking makes me sigh in relief!
